  Bethany Crisp

Bethany was born and raised in Irving, Texas where she was a member of the Irving High School Toy Tigers and served as Captain for two and a half years.  She then auditioned for the Tyler Junior College Apache Belles and was chosen as Freshman Representative and then Head Dance Captain.  As a Belle Bethany traveled to Dublin, Ireland and performed in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Lord Mayor’s Ball.  Other performance credits as a Belle include a Dallas Cowboys pre-game and halftime, an appearance on MTV’s TRL and VJ for a Day, a feature on Country Eight Reporter, Rose parade and Bank of America Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Bethany also served as the dance Captain for the Belles’ 90-day show at Six Flags Over Texas as a part of their “Best of Texas” celebration.
Bethany continued her education at the University of North Texas where she was a member of the pom squad, the UNT Dancers.  Bethany received her degree and teacher certification in Dance and physical education.  Bethany also danced professionally as a member of the Dallas Desperados Dancers, the AFL team owned by the Dallas Cowboys for three proud seasons.  Performance credits with the Desperados include Dallas Cowboys games and draft part, shows for the troops in Fort Hood, Fox’s “Good Day”, and performances with Jesse McCartney, Wade Robson, and Collin Raye.
Bethany also creates custom choreography for drill teams across the state of Texas and was a choreographer/instructor for Dancin’ USA for seven years.  She has served as the Executive Secretary for the Apache Belle Gold and presented at Drill Team Director’s of America Convention.  She founded the dance program in Forney ISD and served as the director for the Forney Highsteppers for three years.
She recently was chosen as the dance Captain for GLCT’s production of “Chicago”.
This year marks Bethany’s fourth year as director of the Flower Mound High School Rosettes and she is honored to be a part of the ten-year celebration!  Under her direction the Rosettes have traveled to L.A., performed at Disneyland, at the capitol in Austin, and as a part of the nationally televised Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  She is excited to take the Rosettes to competition for the first time and grow into an even stronger, united team of amazing girls!
One of Bethany’s proudest accomplishments is when she sees her former students continue their passion in the world of dance.  Bethany has had six students go on to be Apache Belles, one UNT dancer, two Allen Ice Angels Dancers, one Dallas Mavericks Dancer, and three Texas Tech Pom squad members.
Bethany is very thankful for the support of her wonderful husband, MacAdam, who puts up with her drill team obsession, her supportive parents who NEVER miss a game, sweet brother and sister, amazing friends, and WONDEFUL booster club and FMHS administration.  She has the best job in the world!
